Shimna celebrates St Patrick’s Day

Mr Keenan writes: “We were very pleased to be able to run our St Patrick’s Assembly this year, and even more pleased that our neighbours in All Children’s were able to visit for the first occasion in a very long time. We had our usual array of talent on show from our wonderful students. We were spellbound by Piera Corrigan and her wonderful treble jig, as well as the magical music from Ana, Kerry, Rachel and Lily-May and our year 8 class brilliantly performing The Sweets of May céilí dance.

Of course, no St Patrick’s assembly would be complete without a regalement of an Irish Myth and this year, our year 9 class performed the story of Oisín in Tír na nÓg. A massive go raibh maith agaibh to all the students who performed on the day.”
