Work on the new build commences

With the construction notice now issued, this morning Glasgiven contractors started work on the new build in earnest.

The landscape has started to change before our very eyes, bringing mixed emotions. For all the excitement at the prospect of our state-of-the-art new school, the sight of the pitch being dug up and the trees coming down is both dramatic and poignant. These are necessary steps required to enable the project to progress, which has been in planning for some time. Naturally, there is a high environmental threshold for school new builds. Further down the line, landscaping work will restore green spaces and new trees will be planted.

A historic day for the College and a tribute to those who, over the years, have invested so much time to make this day happen.
