Year 14 students compete in UK Young Citizens Mock Bar Trial

Well done to our Shimna team who competed today in the UK Young Citizens Mock Bar Trial Competition.

Year 14 students Emilie, Grace, Nathan, Annie, Caelan, Jake, Isabella, Anna and Lauren have been working hard since September preparing to prosecute and defend two tricky cases. Students gained many valuable skills, researching and putting together watertight arguments and preparing their witnesses for court.

They took on the roles of barristers, jurors, witnesses, defendants, ushers and court clerks. They faced some challenging cross examinations but were nonetheless successful and secured wins in two out of three rounds which is a fantastic achievement.
