Shimna
Integrated
College
Parents
Shimna was founded by parents, and the support of parents and guardians is central to everything we do. The Parent Council was formed in the first year of the school's existence, and parents/guardians have ever since been providing practical help in terms of tea and biscuits at consultation evenings and fundraising which has benefited many subject departments in the school.
However, the Parent Council plays its most vital role in sustaining their involvement in our policies and procedures. Every parent/guardian is a member of the Parent Council, and takes part in regular surveys.
