From Shimna to Dublin for a great cause
A massive congratulations to fourteen of our Year 11 boys who kept the bike going all through the school day to raise funds for local charity, The Well. The boys rode hard for half an hour each, clocking up a total of 157.32 km in just over 6 hours, the equivalent of the journey to Dublin, with a few km to spare. Shimna students represent Northern Ireland at Amnesty Conference
Last week, Year 14 students Ana McKee and Mischa Bonner Campbell joined 300 delegates at the National Youth Conference in Birmingham, representing Northern Ireland. Senior Girls edged out in netball thriller
Our Senior Girls played very well today but lost out narrowly to Sullivan Upper GS. Having led 11 goals to 5 at half time, our team struggled to deal with a tremendous rally by Sullivan in the third quarter, eventually losing out 17-16. Student Council takes a whole-school perspective
Thanks to our Senior Leaders for bringing together representatives of the different Form Classes this morning. It was a valuable opportunity for student voice, with meetings held in Key Stages to evaluate school experience across the year groups. Â The Student Leaders will meet with the Principal later this week to review feedback and take forward proposals for improvement.
