Shimna students put through their paces on Royal Navy training programme
Yesterday a group of our Year 11 - 14 students took a trip the Palace Barracks in Hollywood for a day of leadership training and team building with the Royal Navy. The group first tackled a gruelling assault course of 6 and 12-foot walls, ropes and climbing - a real test of physical and mental strength to overcome fear! After a hot meal in the canteen, we headed off for team building and some shooting in the weapons simulator.James and Matthew took charge in the Personal Lead

Year 9 Girls put up strong defence in Integrated Gaelic Blitz
The Year 9 girls made their first outing of the year in an Integrated Blitz organised by Ulster LGFA. A total of 12 Integrated schools took part and the Shimna team impressed all around. The girls started strong in their first game against North Coast and never let up for the rest of the tournament.
