The 2026 Shimna Chess Championships took place earlier today. In a series of matches across multiple year groups, Lucas emerged undefeated through the group stages and knockout rounds to emerge as Grand Master.
Well done to Mason, JJ, Luke, Oliver and Ruairi in Year 9 for organising and refereeing the tournament.
