Year 13 student Tadhg has just returned from the US where he took part in the prestigious Summer Scholars Programme run by the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. This highly sought-after programme brings together talented students from across the world.

Tadhg studied a module on World Politics and Power, exploring international relations, conflict, human rights, and the balance of world power. He took part in lectures, debates, group work and visited the Illinois Holocaust Museum, gaining valuable insight into both historical and contemporary global challenges, all of which will support his A Level work in Economics, History and Politics in the year ahead.

Tadhg’s success in securing a place and completing the course are achievements in themselves. We look forward to seeing other Shimna students following in his footsteps in the years to come.

Tadhg enjoyed a brief stopover in Newcastle before heading out this morning on the school trip to Rome.
