Double hat-tricks as U18 Boys start football season on front foot

In perfect conditions, our U18 boys played Dromore at Donard Park yesterday. Although we fell behind in the early stages, Shimna hit back with two first-half goals from Kevin. The second half proved to be even more eventful, with Kevin completing his hat-trick and Ben also scoring three. Leading 6-2, the boys took their foot off the pedal somewhat, conceding two late goals. Lessons to be learned in game management ahead of the South Down Cup.

Yesterday’s goal fest was in contract to a dour goalless draw in a pre-season game against Down High last week
