Double success for Shimna's star netball player

Great news about one of our star sports players. In addition to being re-selected to play for the national U17 netball team, Annie Elliott has won a Mary Peters Award for her achievements.

Already a stalwart of the Newcastle club started by her mother, Annie's success is testament to her hard work and dedication since taking up the sport six years ago.

Annie is now looking forward to playing in the European Championships, which will be hosted in Antrim in the New Year. Further down the line, she has her sights set on playing in the Super League.
