Extraordinary international success for gifted Year 9 artist

One of the standout highlights this year has been the extraordinary success of Jack, a gifted student in Year 9. He was one of 23 young artists selected from more than 600,000 participants worldwide as a Merit winner in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest.

In addition to receiving a cash prize of $500, Jack’s winning entry, which was chosen as Ireland’s entry, was displayed in New York at the annual “UN meets the Lions Day” in New York. We commend Jack on this unique and outstanding achievement.

Lions International sponsors the annual programme to give students ages 11-13 the opportunity to express their vision of peace.
