Ms Doyle writes: “The Shimna Intermediate Netball team had a decisive victory over Portadown College, in their final league match, winning 19 goals to 2. The girls all played superbly with tremendous effort and determination.

Mikaela Hanna, playing as centre, provided the shooters, Hope Sherlock and Kate Bradley with plenty of goal-scoring opportunities. Eve Mc Namara also assisted the attack, moving with great speed and agility around the circle.

The defence was led by captain, Evie Gorman, who prevented most of the goal scoring attempts by Portadown College. Evie was ably supported by Lucy Shiells, who had great game as goal keeper, and Bridie Gribben, who also played very well, as wing defence.

A great win today! Well done to all the players.”
