Credit to our colleague Davina Callen who has overseen an inspiring project over the past 18 months.

Starting out as a weaving project celebrating our 30th anniversary celebrations, a community tapestry has gradually taken shape, bringing together staff and students to create an image of the sea, beach, the Mourne mountains and a small part of Murlough House - site of our original school in 1994.

In total, approximately 500 students and around 40 staff took part, using sticks, peg-loom and the large tapestry loom. Fittingly, the final part was woven by our new Year 8 this term, the first to start their Shimna journey in our new school.

Thank you, Davina.
