Looking back on a tremendous three-day careers programme

Days 2 and 3 of our exceptional Looking Ahead programme had a full programme of speakers and activities geared towards planning for the future. Students in Years 13 and 11 availed of sessions that included:

 *   Jack Brown from Glasgow Caledonian University on studying in Scotland


 *   Aoibhin McKinney from First Derivative on careers in fintech


 *   Edel Owens from The Wholefood Hero on health coaching and entrepreneurship


 *   Seamus Delaney on life as a criminal law solicitor


 *   John Keane on investigative journalism


 *   Martin McGinn from Ulster University on design and innovation


 *   Liz Simpson from CAFRE on careers in agri-food and rural industries


 *   Diarmuid Cahill from Dundalk IT on college life, courses, and the CAO process


 *   Mary Kate McKevitt from New Driver NI on road safety and responsible driving


 *   Corporal Donald from the Army Reserve on life and opportunities in the armed forces


 *   Kendrew Colhoun on careers in the environmental sector


 *   Noel Thompson, BBC journalist, on news, politics, and lifelong learning


 *   Dr Orla O’Connor on her journey into medicine and life as a GP


 *   Sinead Morgan from Finnebrogue on careers in food, sustainability, and innovation


 *   Lucy Marshall from Workplus on finding and succeeding in apprenticeships
