Maths Week Success at Shimna

Our Year 8 students and Maths staff enthusiastically took part in the TTRS Ireland Rocks Competition this week. Over three days, students worked hard to answer as many multiplication and division questions as possible, earning points for their form classes and competing for the top spot. Together, Year 8 answered an incredible 10,000+ questions.

A huge congratulations to 8B, who took the lead and were crowned the winning form class. Special recognition also goes to our top-performing students:

⭐Alex Casement

⭐ Max Nelson

⭐ Isla McGowan

⭐ Ryan Connor

Ms Kelly writes: “Well done to everyone who participated. Your enthusiasm, determination and teamwork made this a fantastic Maths Week challenge and a great celebration of numeracy across Year 8.”
