Ms Doyle writes: “The girls played very competitively yesterday in the Minor and Junior NI Netball League against Dromore High School. Despite being on the losing end, the girls gained great experience and really enjoyed the matches.
Star players in the Minor team were: Zoe Astruc-Kidd who was relentless in her efforts as centre, to feed the ball into the shooters Amy Baker and Sophia Campbell. Both shooters moved well in the circle and their accuracy improved as the game progressed. Isabella Mayers made a valuable contribution as wing attack, also providing shooters with plenty of goal-scoring opportunities in the circle.
In the Junior match, Robyn Rick, playing centre, and Sophie Mayers, playing wing attack, played with great spirit and determination. They provided the shooters, Evie Sloan and Sophia Campbell with good goal-scoring chances. Ellie Sloan and Mollie Murphy were also strong in defence. A fantastic effort was made by all the girls, and they are looking forward to their next games against St Mark’s and St Malachy’s.”
