Ms Susay, Head of Spanish, writes: “We have been very fortunate to host Ana and Elena from the Canary Islands since September. They joined Year 11 classes and have been a tremendous asset to our Year 11 and 12 Spanish classes, helping students to practise their Spanish and giving them valuable insights into life and the culture of the Canary Islands.
They have visited all KS3 Spanish classes before half term and answered questions in Spanish from our students about their families, school life, hobbies, their social life and the food typical of the Canary Islands.
Ana and Elena have been a great credit to their families and a huge asset for Shimna.”
