Sixth Form students Rory Corrigan and Connie Smart have initiated a fund-raising effort on behalf of the Ukrainian refugee aid effort to take place in school over the coming week. Students are already signing up with donations and pledges. Please support this admirable initiative.
Message from Rory:
“12 million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the ongoing conflict. They need emergency aid and life-saving supplies right now. We are organising a charity event. All proceeds will be donated to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. For every pound raised, a member of staff, the student body or the wider school community will run one lap of the school pitch. At the end of this event, we will total the distance run and see how close it gets us to Kyiv. We will be raising money and running the laps over the coming week.
You can help support us. Share this post! It will help tremendously to raise awareness. Donate money if you can, and if you wish, you can join in running laps, too. Every donation might help save a life.”
