Shimna athletes qualify for All-Irelands

Congratulations to Eve and Aoife who have today qualified for the All-Ireland Athletics Championships. Eve won the Junior Girls Long Jump with a PB of 5.04 m. She was also second in the Junior Girls 75 m Hurdles. Aoife came third in the Junior Girls 1200m Walk.

Other Shimna students competing today were Parisa, who finished 6th in the Junior Girls 800m. Ronan came 6th in the Junior Boys' Hammer and Mila 7th in the Junior Girls' Discus. Sophie and Michael also performed admirably, narrowly missing out in the finals of Minor Girls Shot and Junior Boys' Javelin.
