Yesterday, it was our privilege to host the PSNI Road Safe event, with our own Sixth Form students joined by their counterparts from St Louis Grammar School and Kilkeel High.
The programme featured powerful individual testimonies from the PSNI, NI Ambulance Service, NI Fire & Rescue Service, a collision survivor and a young person affected by a fatal crash. The key message of the day was about the potentially life-changing consequences of risk‑taking on the roads.
Thank you to Sgt Kenny Gracey, Mourne Neighbourhood Policing Team, the speakers from across the different emergency services, the film crew from UTV and compere Ryan Annett from Cool FM.
Our hope is that the Road Safe Show will help keep more young people safe and reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on our roads.
