Shimna student secures place on QUB Pathways Programme

Sixth Form student Madison Crawford has gained a place on the QUB Pathways Programme.

The Pathways Programme supports talented students on their journey to Queen's University Belfast, providing students with the opportunity to study their chosen subject on campus in order to prepare them for the transition to university life.

The Pathways Programme offers a range of benefits, including a reduced grade conditional offer or a guaranteed interview, a £1000 bursary and an invitation to attend a Summer School at Queen’s.

Madison, who is studying A Levels in Biology, Psychology and Health and Social Care at Shimna, will study Psychology on campus at Queen's University Belfast: "I'm really grateful to have been offered a place on the Pathway Programme. I'm looking forward to meeting like-minded students and getting to know a range of Academics and staff. I'm also excited about the opportunity to improve my study skills and confidence."

Joanne Poland, Assistant Vice-Principal, said: "Madison is such a talented student. She has worked extremely hard to secure this place and we are delighted for her."
