Shimna students compete in County Athletics Championships

Well done to the Shimna athletes who took part in the Down Schools Championships this week.

Jamie O'Flaherty, Kari Foster, Evie Gorman and Parisa Susay-Quinn, narrowly missed out on qualification for the Ulster Championships, coming fourth in the 300m, 1500m, shot and 800m respectively. Emily McMullan and Ronan Grant finished fifth in the 800m and hammer events. Abigail Turley and Michael Murray came sixth in the discus and javelin.

Our junior athletes will be competing next week.
