Shimna students qualify for Ulster Cross-Country championships

Shimna cross-country runners raced in the Down Schools Cross Country Championships on Tuesday. Held at the Billy Neil Centre, the conditions were tough but Shimna runners ran very competitively, with some excellent results.

Outstanding performances included Kari 4th in the Intermediate girls; Eve 7th and Parisa 10th in the Junior Girls; and Jamie 8th in Mini Boys. All qualify for the Ulster Championships, as do the Junior Girls team of Eve, Parisa, Niamh and Kate.
