Last week, Year 14 students Ana McKee and Mischa Bonner Campbell joined 300 delegates at the National Youth Conference in Birmingham, representing Northern Ireland. The conference theme, ‘Use Your Voice’, was about promoting an international campaign for young people to share ideas on how to bring positive change in their communities and beyond. This included the opportunity to work on a youth manifesto ahead of proposed changes to the voting age.
Mr Archer writes: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our AI group members to meet up with like-minded students, to talk about issues of relevance for young people today and to practise their debating skill. It was a privilege to represent the College and Northern Ireland at this great event.”
