St Patrick’s Day celebrations round off successful Irish Language Week

Mr Keenan writes:

Mar chonclúid ar sheachtain d’imeachtaí le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar Sheachtain na Gaeilge bhí tionóil spéisílata againn ar an Aoine. Mar chuid de, bhí Piera Corrigan ag damhsa, Nathan Travers ag buaileadh ar an chairdín agus an bainseó, Enya Leckey ar an chlairseach, Sean Mc Curry ag ceol an Ratllin’ Bog agus rinne rang Gaeilge bliain 8 scéal Naomh Pádraig a insint don scaifte. Míle buíochas as lucht Bunscoil All Children’s as a  bheith linn agus go háirithe Michael Craig a sheinn an fhéadóg stáin dúinn mar a bheadh sárcheoltóir ann. Beannachtaí na Féile daoibh go léir.

To conclude our events for Irish Language week, we had our special St Patrick’s assembly on Friday. As part of it we had; Piera Corrigan dancing a treble jig, Nathan Travers playing the accordion and banjo, Enya Leckey playing the harp, Sean Mc Curry singing ‘The Rattlin’ Bog’ and our Year 8 Irish class dramatizing the story of St Patrick. A special thanks to All Children’s Integrated Primary School for being with us and especially Michael Craig who played ‘Drops of Brandy’ on the tin whistle for us and what a wonderful whistler he is! St Patrick’s greetings to everyone.
