Ms Doyle writes: “The intermediate team enjoyed a great start to their league campaign today, with a convincing 13-6 win over Cookstown High School. Great teamwork and determination were shown by all the players. Attacking players Mila Astruc- Kidd and Parisa Susay-Quinn provided shooters, Helen Barbour and Lucy McGrady, with plenty of goal-scoring opportunities. The defence, led by Evie Gorman and including Eve McNamara, Lucy Shiells and Mikaela Hanna, was equally strong and prevented Cookstown from scoring in the second period.
The senior team also played competitively, despite losing out 12-7. This was an encouraging start to their league campaign, which they can now build on. Strong performers included Mikaela Hanna playing centre and Emily McMullan feeding the shooters Katelynn McClelland and Lucy Mc Grady with a number of strong passes for goal-scoring opportunities.
The defence led by Emily Allister, included Anna Stannett and Ciara Cartwright, who did well to restrict Cookstown scoring chances.”
Well done to all our players.
