As part of the new build project, we are responsible for disposing of our existing furniture and equipment. While some of it will be going over to the new school, a good deal won’t be.
Planning for the great decant has commenced. Our aim is to use this unique opportunity to redistribute surplus items - such as desks, chairs and other quality furniture and equipment - to good causes in the local community.
Earlier this week, we were joined by Craig Stewart, Sustainable Business Practitioner at International Synergies, to assist and advise on this big undertaking.
Local groups who would like to express an interest are very welcome to attend a meeting at 10.00 am next Friday ( 6 December ) in St John’s Church Hall. Please contact the Principal at info@shimna.newcastle.ni.sch.uk to sign up.
