U14 Boys’ learn valuable lessons in opening game of season

Earlier this week, our U14 Boys travelled to Rathfriland High School in the first game of the cup season. For many of the Year 9 players, this was their first taste of full 15-a-side rugby. Captain Micheal Murray led from the front, making a huge amount of ground every time he carried the ball and scoring two tries. Other standout performances came from Oran O’Hare, who kicked his conversions, and Fahlin Murphy-McKibbin who scored our third try and looked dangerous every time he had the ball. Well done to all the boys who played. Although they eventually went down 48-21, it was an important learning experience for them to take into the next game.
