U18 Boys advance to Nolan Cup semi-finals

Our U18 Boys Gaelic team have advanced to the semi-finals of the Ulster Schools Nolan Cup after victory over Edmund Rice College. In a repeat of last year’s final, Shimna put that disappointment behind them to come away with a four-point victory.

After a slow start and having fallen behind at half time, the boys came on strong in the second half. Goals from James Cunningham and Conall King put them back on track and finished up victorious 5-04 to 2-17. A great team effort, with standout performances from Zack Curran at the back, Calum Simmons and Shea McLaughlin, who contributed heavily to the scoring.

Next up in the semis, the winners of the tie between Lagan College and St Patrick’s College, Dungannon.
