Mrs McGlynn writes: “10C Geographers enjoyed a fantastic day at W5 on Friday, celebrating the culmination of their hard work as part of the Future Island project. This sustainability initiative, led by Ulster University, invited students to contribute creative ideas addressing global environmental challenges.”

The project is showcased through a digital exhibition at W5 Belfast, highlighting innovative concepts from young people across Northern Ireland’s remote communities. Open to the public for six months, the exhibition features “immersive storytelling, interactive design, and visionary responses to sustainability issues - placing youth voices at the heart of innovation.

Researchers transformed ideas from student workshops, along with video footage of their discussions, into this engaging exhibition. It’s a proud moment for 10C to see their contributions brought to life in such an inspiring way. Well done to each and every student involved.”
