Year 11 Chemists worth their salt in QUB Festival

Mr McCormick and Mr McDonnell write: “Fourteen of our Year 11 Chemistry students got the opportunity to go to the Salters Festival of Chemistry at Queen's University, Belfast today. Our students had the opportunity to speak with real chemists and carry out an exciting practical to synthesise their own Aspirin.

Following a tour of the School of Chemistry, the students finished with a panel discussion on Chemistry careers. A good day was had by all.
