Four Shimna year 11 GCSE German students have been awarded scholarships worth 4000 euro each to participate in a Goethe Institut German Summer Camp this August.

Seren Fenton, Ben Groves, Hania Dziubek and Viktor Vasyliev will be spending three weeks in Benediktbeuern about 45 minutes from Munich in Southern Germany.

The students are very keen Germanists, and each wrote a detailed application in German outlining why they feel they should be awarded a place which was supported by Ms Susay and Susi Olpe our German assistant. We have never had so many students win such a scholarship as part of our PASCH work, and it is a great honour.

The scholarship covers all their expenses including German tuition, flights, accommodation, food, cultural trips and visits to German companies. They will be making new friends, participating along with other European and international students, all improving their German together.

We would like to thank the Goethe Institut and the PASCH programme for giving our students this amazing opportunity.
