The Year 9 girls made their first outing of the year in an Integrated Blitz organised by Ulster LGFA. A total of 12 Integrated schools took part and the Shimna team impressed all around.
The girls started strong in their first game against North Coast and never let up for the rest of the tournament. In further games against Sperrin, St. Columba's and Strangford the Shimna girls kept their opponents scoreless and only conceded two points the whole tournament.
Shimna scorers throughout the tournament were top scorer Evie Sloan, Isabella Milligan, Eva McCallister, Robyn Rick, Katie McCabe, Teaghan Quinn and Maddie McDonald.
Stars in defence were captain Ellie Sloan, Maddie McDonald and keeper Danielle Trimble.
