U14 Gaelic girls gain valuable competitive experience
Our U14 girls performed with great credit in the Gaelic quarter-finals today. They lost out to a St. Paul’s Bessbrook, who able to draw on a larger, more experienced squad to progress to the semi-final. All of our girls played competitively, including Year 8 students Isabella, Emma, Jane and Grace; Ellie, Meghan, Teaghan and Abi from Year 9; and Emily, Leah, Connie, Abigail, Phiah, Mikaela and Lucy in Year 10.

College competes in the Integrated Schools Futsal Cup
Mr Milligan writes: “Today, our boys and girls players competed in the Futsal Integrated Schools Cup. Our team in Section A played 6 games, finishing 3rd in their group section and scoring 9 goals. They played an excellent passing game, controlling possession and creating lots of chances. They won their quarter final 4-0 but sadly lost 2-0 in their semi-final to Fort Hill, who went on to win the tournament. James and Dara were top goal scores for the team. Our Section B tea

U16 Boys Football narrowly miss out in local derby semi-final
Mr Dagen writes: “Shimna U16 boys played last Thursday in the semi-final of the U16 South Down Plate, the competition we won last year. The game was very even and could have gone either way. Kilkeel were the first to get the breakthrough but Shimna responded well, with Tom slotting home a well taken goal. On the brink at half time Shimna conceded a penalty to go 2-1 down.
