The GSA at Shimna has been running for over a decade to promote the wellbeing of our LGBTQ+ students and allies at Shimna. GSA is a safe space for all supportive students and staff to meet together at break time on Fridays. This month is LGBT History month so we have been learning about the Stonewall demonstrations and the origins of Pride. Our GSA is proud to be the first group of its kind in Northern Ireland and we are pleased that many other schools in the country have started their own LGBTQ+ groups in recent years.
