Memories of a summer spent in the Gaeltacht

I ndiaidh thus iontach na bliana úr is fiú amharc siar ar laetha bhreá an tsamhraidh agus scoláirí Shimna i mbun foghlamtha agus craice sa Ghaeltacht i nDún na nGall. Idir Coláiste Bhun an Inbhir agus Machaire Rabhartaigh d’imigh deichniúr ar Shlí An Atlantaigh Fhiáin le cairdeas nua saoil a chruthú agus sult a bhaint as saol difriúl ar fad. Is cinnte gur bhain achan duine sult agus tairbhe as; Aoife, Lucy, Morgan, Abigail, Olivia, Leah, Micheál, Ronan, Sebastian, Matthew, agus iad uilig ar bís le scaoileadh na gcúrsaí don bhliain seo chugainn go dtig leo a chur in áirithe arís.

After a great start to the new year it is well worth a look back at those hazy summer days as Shimna students enjoyed the craic and the learning of course in the Donegal Gaeltacht.  Between the colleges of Bun An Inbhir and Machaire Rabhartaigh, ten students took to the Atlantic Way to make new life friends and enjoy a completely different way of life for a few weeks. It’s clear from the stories that everyone had a brilliant time. Aoife, Lucy, Morgan, Abigail, Olivia, Leah, Micheál, Ronan, Sebastian, Matthew all hope to get booked up again when next year’s courses are released soon.
