Shimna athletes qualify for the Ulster Schools' Athletics Championships

Congratulations to the following students for their excellent performances in the Down Schools’ Athletics Championships:

Evie Gorman 2nd in junior girls shot

Eabha Hallissey 2nd in senior girls shot

Eve McNamara 3rd in minor girls hurdles

Sophie Mayers 3rd in minor girls shot

All four girls have qualified for the Ulster Schools’ Championships.

Other notable performances came from Hania Dziubek, Parisa Susay-Quinn and Sophie Mayers, finalists in the 100m, as well as Robyn Rick and Eve Mc Namara, finalists in high jump and long jump.
