Shimna's Amnesty International group spent their meeting this week buying items for refugees ahead of winter. £200 has been raised selling refreshments during our Sports Day and the students were unanimous in their decision to support refugees through the charity, 'Choose Love'. Winter clothes, hot meals, sleeping bags and a tent were among the items purchased on Thursday. The group is looking forward to a year of campaigning and fundraising.
