Shimna students qualify for Ulster Cross-Country championships
Shimna cross-country runners raced in the Down Schools Cross Country Championships on Tuesday. Held at the Billy Neil Centre, the conditions were tough but Shimna runners ran very competitively, with some excellent results. Outstanding performances included Kari 4th in the Intermediate girls; Eve 7th and Parisa 10th in the Junior Girls; and Jamie 8th in Mini Boys. Mrs Doyle writes: “Shimna had a convincing win over Grosvenor GS in the NI Junior Netball Shield, winning 26/3. Shimna will play Sullivan GS next and are just one game away from the NI Quarter Final.
