The Geography Department has run an in-house competition to select entries for the Young Geographer of the Year 2024 competition. The theme this year was #choosegeography and students were asked to design A3 posters to promote the value of studying the subject. Last week, Year 12 student Zara handed over a cheque for £2,410 to the Neonatal Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast. Over the month of September, Zara walked 18 miles while her mother Stella swam the equivalent distance to raise funds and awareness of the Unit’s work.
