Earlier today, our U14 Gaelic girls reached the Ulster semi-finals after a resounding victory over Edmund Rice College
After a tight first half the teams were separated by a point at the break, with Edmund Rice College leading 1:3 to 1:2. The girls put in a fantastic turn around in the second half dominating the midfield and forward line with Issy Milligan tucking home 6 goals and a point for Shimna College. A stellar performance from Grace O'Boyle in defence kept the opposition forwards starved in attack. It was a fantastic all-round performance, with captain Ellie Sloan driving the team from midfield.

Last week, our Year 8 boys took part in the Kevin Smith Tournament, held across the Bann Road and St Malachy’s High School, Castlewellan. A full day of Gaelic football ensured plenty of competitive action for all players. Captain Louis Trainor led by example, scoring some superb goals and points in two group victories.
Despite a very tough group and narrowly missing out on a quarter‑final spot, the boys gained valuable experience throughout the day. Stand‑out performances came from Darragh Scannell and Jamie McGrath.
Well done to all involved.
