Shimna boys make their first Ulster Gaelic final

Shimna’s U18 Boys made it through to the Ulster Schools Nolan Cup Final with an impressive display in Monday’s semi-final. After topping Group A, they played a combined team from Forthill & St Patrick’s Lisburn, who finished runners-up in Group B. Shimna started quickly, leading by 4 points at the break, and would have been further ahead were it not for the heroics of the opposition goalkeeper. The points flowed more freely in the second half, with Shimna pulling away to a 4.14 to 4.2 victory. Another great success for boys sport this year. Well done to the boys and their coach, Mr Dagen.
