Shimna students jumping into the Ulster Schools Championships

Students have run, hopped, skipped and jumped to qualify for the Ulster Schools Athletics Championships on Saturday 20 May. 

Represented by Sophie Neil in the 1500m, Eabha Hallissey in the shot putt and Molly Burns in the high jump, students are going for gold next weekend. 

At the recent Downs Schools Athletics Championships, Molly Burns (pictured) came third in Junior girls high jump with Lucy Shiells and Hania Dziubek fourth in the mini girls shot and minor girls 100m. 

Sophie Mc Cullough came 5th in the mini girls 100m and Fahlin Murphy- Mc Kibben came fifth in the mini boys 800m.
