U18 Boys Football team reach semis with emphatic victory

Our U18 Boys team qualified for the semi-finals of the South Down Cup, defeating Banbridge Academy 10-3. Having fallen behind in the early stages, the boys roared back, with Shay Milligan scoring two and Shimna podcast star Luke McCafferty bagging a hat-trick. They were well supported by Ben McNerlin and Andrew Shannon, who also made the scoresheet. Xavier Rooney and Rory Smith also contributed late goals as the opposition tired.

The result was all the more impressive, given we were deprived of our talismanic captain Conal King, due to injury. Thankfully, he was on the sidelines, offering encouragement and support throughout.

Next up: New-Bridge in the semis.
