Year 8 athletes enjoy track and field success

Year 8 pupils, Eve McNamara (Newcastle AC) and Sophie McCullough (City of Lisburn AC) have had a fantastic start to the track and field season this year, with multi-event success at Lagan Valley ACs Fab Five Series at the Mary Peters Track. Both girls performed well at U13 Long Jump with Eve taking top of the podium with a jump of 4.2m and Sophie taking 3rd place with a distance of 3.87m. In the U13 200m race, Sophie clinched 3rd spot in a time of 29.82 and Eve secured 4th place overall with a spectacular run of 30.55.
