U14 Boys Rugby perform with credit on Ulster finals debut
Our U14 Boys performed with great credit in their debut Ulster finals. Winning one, drawing one and losing two matches, they finished third overall. Star performers were Dara McGrath, who demonstrated exceptional running and kicking, as well as Daniel Murray, Porter Headley and Charlie Sneddon for their defensive work. Ollie Rice and Thomas Hyland also deserve credit for playing with boys a year older than themselves, showing great determination and bravery.

Shimna students set the agenda in BBC news training
Thank you to Gareth, Niamh and Angeline from the BBC for leading a highly informative news-making session with our Year 10 students on Monday. Following up on the initial training session last month, our students were given the opportunity to present their own reports, separating out real and fake news agendas.

Family table tennis event a big hit
Thanks to everyone for joined us on a gloriously sunny Saturday afternoon for a community table tennis event. It was also the first time we’ve used our brand new equipment. A massive thank you to Aleks and Frankie from Table Tennis Ireland for organising and coaching all-comers.

Year 10 Students "Wise Up" with Women's Aid
Thank you to Kerri Todd from Women's Aid for delivering insightful "Wise Up" project sessions at the College on Friday. Students explored gender, stereotypes, influences, social media and what makes healthy relationships. Kerri created an open, non-judgmental space for our students to share their thoughts and experiences, sparking vibrant discussions throughout the day.
