The Shimna Masters is coming!
We are delighted to announce plans for the world’s fifth Golf Major – the Shimna Masters! It will be played at Kilkeel Golf Club, one of the county’s finest courses, on the morning of Friday 12 June. Transport from school will be arranged but entrants will need to pay a £10 green fee, payable to the club on the day. The tournament is open to boys and girls in Years 8-11. Year 11 Chemists worth their salt in QUB Festival
Mr McCormick and Mr McDonnell write: “Fourteen of our Year 11 Chemistry students got the opportunity to go to the Salters Festival of Chemistry at Queen's University, Belfast today. Our students had the opportunity to speak with real chemists and carry out an exciting practical to synthesise their own Aspirin. Following a tour of the School of Chemistry, the students finished with a panel discussion on Chemistry careers. A good day was had by all.

57 Varieties of Bronze
This month, a Bronze Award cohort of fifty-seven of our Year 10 students successfully completed the final stage of their expedition training. Year 8 girls take on the big guns in Netball Blitz
Our Year 8 girls played very competitively in a five-school Netball Blitz earlier today. They played four matches, winning against Asssumption GS and Lurgan JHS, and losing to Aquinas GS and Ballymena GS. The defence was led admirably by Lana, supported by Mollie, Mia and Alex.
