Netball teams gain valuable competitive experience

A massive thanks to Mourne Basketball Club for a new extra-curricular club. We are hoping to play our first competitive fixture against a local school before the end of term. Once we acquire our new Sports Hall in January, we hope to be in a position to offer further opportunities to other year groups.

Stunning success for Shimna boys in Table Tennis Championship
Congratulations to Darragh Scannell and Reece Maguire who represented Shimna at the South-East Post-Primary Schools Table Tennis Tournament. The day started with group games, with Reece qualifying for the main tournament and Darragh the Shield competition. Shimna students participate in COP30 Climate event
Yesterday, Year 14 students Lily-May Truesdale and Jude Watt represented Shimna at a model COP30 environmental talks, held at Belfast Castle. The event, which coincides with the current COP30 in Brazil, brought together students from 28 schools across Northern Ireland. The students were given the opportunity to role play the part of national ambassadors, campaigners, lobbyists and journalists. Students and staff take the time to reflect on the meaning of remembrance
This morning, the College community came together for a series of special assemblies. In keeping with our integrated ethos, it was an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the meaning of remembrance in a mutually respectful manner.
