Former student wins awards for equality and social justice

Great news about former student Kenzi Dickinson. Kenzi left Shimna in 2018 and is currently reading Biomedical Sciences at TUD. In the past two weeks she has won two fantastic awards. Firstly, she was awarded the Welfare and Equality Award by the TUD Students Union at their annual awards ceremony. Then, last week, the TUD LGBT Society, of which Kenzi is the Secretary, was awarded Society of the Year at the Student Achievement Awards Ireland, run by the Union of Students in Ireland.

Mr McCloskey, Head of Religious Studies, commented: “All of this demonstrates Kenzi’s dedication to equality and social justice alongside her academic endeavours. We are immensely proud of her.”
