Brownies for Brownies raises valuable funds

Mixed fortunes for Shimna teams this week
A busy few days for our Netball and Gaelic saw great performances, albeit with mixed results. Ms Doyle writes: “We had a very enjoyable morning at St. Malachy’s HS. The Minors won their match but it was very close right to the final whistle. Star players were Zoe Astruc-Kidd, who playing as centre supplied great passes into the shooters, Amy Baker and Jane McAnallen. Geographers spend day studying city of the future
Ms Anderson, Head of Geography, writes: “Our Year 12 & 14 Geography students enjoyed a productive day at Titanic Quarter yesterday. They explored exciting new developments in the city, including social housing projects, a driverless bus and a new hotel, as well as learning about the innovative concept of a ‘15-minute city.’ Huge thanks to our wonderful hosts, Shona Anderton and David Horne from Titanic Quarter Ltd. REC First Aid Trainers deliver life-saving training to Year 10
Thanks to Raymond Shannon and the team at REC First Aid Trainers for delivering first aid training to our Year 10 students today. This is the third year running this course has formed part of our PC programme, which means that over 300 Shimna students have now been trained in CPR and AED.
